Knowing Bob meant knowing happiness, laughter, and what it was like to feel like the center of someone’s universe. Bob had an uncanny way of turning any stranger into a friend through his kindness, generosity, and – if you were so lucky – his famous fried rice.

Bob enjoyed boating through the winding waterways of the California Delta, fishing for striped bass and salmon, and cooking around an open campfire. Bob also had a special bond with the Hawaiian Islands, making lifelong friends there while floating in the crystal blue waters and watching vibrant sunsets from the sun-warmed beaches. What Bob cherished the most though was creating these special memories surrounded by family, friends, and his faithful dog, Kiara.

Bob also found great joy in spoiling his niece and nephews. Whether it was watching their faces light up from a new toy, playing practical jokes to see them smile, or supplying secret stashes of chocolate as any great uncle would, Bob’s love for them was magical and unconditional.

Bob was a wonderful husband, a dedicated brother, a thankful son, an amazing uncle, a grateful dad, and a true friend. Although taken far too soon, Bob lived each day to the fullest, selflessly caring for others and will be missed by all who had the sincere pleasure of knowing him.

Bob’s wife Raquel has requested memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers to honor Bob’s love for our country and those who serve and sacrifice for our freedom.
