Obituaries

Barbara Jean Sacco Saljian, 82, of Hightower Ct., Mooresville, NC, formerly of Fremont, CA, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Born January 15, 1931 in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late James and Velma Bateman Sacco. Mrs. Saljian was a Bus Driver for the Fremont Unified School District in Fremont, CA. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC, where she was a member of the Senior Saints. Mrs. Saljian was preceded in death by her husband: George Saljian; daughter: Glenna Sappington; son-in-law: James Bremer; and sister: LaWanda Verbitsky. She is survived by her children: George Saljian and wife Anneliese, Linda Bremer, and Patricia Moore and husband Jim; brother: James ?Jimmy? Sacco and wife Elsie; sisters: Mary Lippo and husband Jack, and Rosa Buchanan and husband Carl; brother-in-law: Harold Verbitsky; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, from 9-11am and a Chapel Service will begin at 11am, all at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Fremont, CA.
