Obituaries

Born April 17, 1916, she spent most of her life in her province of Manaog, Pangasinan Philippines caring for her family and raising her 9 children and 25+ grandchildren. She was a savy business woman who taught her children, from an early age, the true value of hard work. She was known to many as "Inang" or "Lola Inyang"and will be remembered most for her vibrant personality, dancing, smile, generosity and caring nature. She spent the later part of her life living in San Francisco, CA in the care of her eldest son, Melanio Salinas.

Survivors include her 9 children: Melanio Salinas - San Francisco, CA; Mary Sagaoinit - Trabuco Canyon, CA; Lolita Dulay - Pangasinan, Philippines; Medy Korda - Carson, CA; Julie Ebreo - Fremont, CA; Rosita Laccay - Fremont, CA; Nena Bautista - Modesto, CA; Mercy Flores - Aliso Viejo, CA; Carlito Salinas - Pangasinan Philippines. Apolonia was preceded in death by her husband, Benito Salinas.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 | 12PM - 5PM at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd. Fremont, CA. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 | 12PM - 1PM at Holy Spirit Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd. Fremont, CA. Relative and friends are welcome at the service and reception following the Funeral Mass on Monday, December 4 at World Gourmet Buffet, 6010 Stevenson Blvd. Fremont, CA.
