Annette Marie Rog Kincaid Filena, age 75, died unexpectedly Thursday night, May 30, 2013. Annette was born on March 10, 1938 in Palmer, MA.

Beloved wife of 24 years to Bruce G. Filena of Fremont. Cherished mother of Pamela Smith (husband Gray) of CA, Cynthia Nuanes (husband Robert) of AL, Roberta Vinson of CA, and Richard Kincaid of CA. Devoted step-mother to Cynthia Soria (husband Robert) of OR and Brenda Filena of MA. Grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 2. Survived by her estranged family: mother Mary Kalafarski of CT and siblings Janet Montano (husband Richard) of CT, Brian Kalafarski (wife Susan) of MI, Diane Onorato (husband Robert) of DE, and Lynn D?Angelo (husband Christopher) of CT. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her daughter Debra Kincaid, ex-husband Richard Kincaid, step-father Casimir Kalafarski, and father Joseph Rog.

Annette was a beautiful, intelligent, loving, and caring woman whose expertise spanned a significant number of subject areas. She graduated from Whittier College with a Bachelor?s in Business Administration. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, personal finances, medicine, singing, and solving puzzles. Annette was the pillar of her family and devoted to her children. She will be missed terribly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8, 10am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont, CA. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
