Obituary For Amelia Alice de Oliveira

Amelia Alice deOliveira was born on January 26, 1935 and entered into eternal rest, ascending to Heaven on May 5, 2019, while surrounded by family.

Amelia married her hometown sweetheart, Jose deOliveira on November 20, 1954. Together they pursued their dreams, immigrating from Portugal to the United States in 1959 with their son, Joe. They subsequently welcomed two more sons, Michael and Louie. Amelia was a devout and active member of her parish, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, loved cooking for friends and family and was always finding ways to give to others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, exuding love with her presence and her sweet bread.

Amelia is survived by her husband, Jose; her sons, Joe (wife Michele), Michael (wife Terrie) and late Louie (wife AnnMarie); her beloved grandchildren, Stacey, Cindy, Mark, Amy, Kari, Scott and Savannah and her great-grandchildren, Mathew, Michele, Nicole, Wes, Christian, Hollee, Joey, Haylee and Ashlee.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, 10:00 – 11:00 AM, at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd, Fremont. With Rosary and Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd, Fremont. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward.

    We miss her terribly. My prayers and heart felt sorrow for her sons and grandchildren. She was the only mom I had left. Loved her so very much, she taught me so much all the way to the end. :broken_heart:
