Obituary For Amando Domingo Beltran

Amando Domingo Beltran April 13, 1921-October 20, 2017

Beloved husband of the late Francisca Beltran, loving father of Hazeline (Dave), Eugene (Esperanza), Elizabeth (Ernesto), Lionel (Bernadette), Melchor (Lourdes), and Cristyl. Survived by 3 brothers, Rudy, Herbert, Frankie Beltran, sister, Marina Tan and predeceased sister, Lina Corpus. Devoted grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Amando was born in Penang Malaysia on April 13, 1921. He grew up in Malaysia and started playing the piano at the age of 6. He studied at the Anglo Chinese School. He served active military duty with the HM Royal Air Force in Malaysia; POW in Java and in Nagasaki, Japan during WW-II from 1942-1945. After the war, he raised his family in San Marcelino, Zambales and worked at the SRF US Naval Base Subic Bay, Philippines. In 1978, he migrated to the US with his wife to be close to their children and worked as a Logistic Engineer with Pillsbury & Martignoni Inc. He also joined a band as the pianist and performed onboard the USS Coral Sea Museum. He spent every day of his life dedicated to the well being of his family. His happiness stemmed from his love for music and from his strong faith in God. He was a man of integrity, strong-willed and a courageous soldier, loving and caring husband and a hardworking, supportive, nurturing father. On October 20, 2017, Amando was called to heaven by the Lord to join his beloved wife on their wedding Anniversary. He was the formidable root and brilliant head of his family and will be painfully missed by all.
