Obituary For Amada Maria Rivera

Entered into rest on June 27, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 78. Predeceased by her husband Ray Rivera in 2011. Beloved mother of Ray and Dina Rivera, Rosie and Rick Duran, Danny and Rhonda Rivera, Susie Rivera, and Benny and Shelly Rivera. Grandmother of 16, and great-grandmother of 33. Also survived by her brothers and sisters.

Born July 9, 1934 in Puerto Rico, Amada was a member of the Puerto Rican Union of Mutual Aid, Inc. (PRUMA). She loved sewing, embroidery, salsa dancing, cooking, dogs, and watching her television shows. She really enjoyed family gatherings because she loved seeing all of the family together.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, at 1pm followed by a Chapel Service at 2pm, all at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Inurnment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.

    Though we lost touch for many years, I was so grateful to Sueie for bring my tia Amada to send 2 weeks with her older sister, my mom Isabel. It was wonderful to hear that crazy laugh again. I remember it so well from childhood. We will mis her laugh and her smile. I will miss you tia Amada with love. See you soon, Your niece Ada
