Obituary For Allan Lee Porter
-
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Allan Lee Porter, born November 29, 1965, in Fremont, California, to Richard Porter and Linda Ontiveros. Allan passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 59.
Allan was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Known for his funny, friendly, caring, and charismatic personality, he brought laughter, warmth, and a genuine presence into every room he entered. He especially cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Allan grew up in Fremont and enjoyed playing sports including soccer and wrestling. He was a dedicated wrestler from elementary through high school, carrying with him a love for the sport and the lessons it taught. He especially valued the guidance of his favorite coach, Mr. Baker, whose encouragement left a lasting mark. While he primarily competed in freestyle wrestling, he also embraced Greco-Roman, becoming a champion twice during junior high and again in ninth grade. In high school, Allan wrestled at the varsity level and was honored with the Rookie of the Year award. Wrestling taught him discipline, resilience, and determination—qualities that shaped the way he approached life.
Allan spent over 40 years working as a dedicated mechanic, a trade he loved and excelled at. His passion for motorcycles extended far beyond the garage—he especially enjoyed riding with friends and attending events like Hot August Nights and Street Vibrations in Reno, Nevada. For Allan, motorcycles weren’t just machines—they were freedom, connection, and joy.
He was also well known and deeply respected in the BMX community as a national-level rider, where he was affectionately known as Allan “The Cobra” Porter. He earned numerous accolades throughout his riding career, including state and national placements. Most notably, he won a National Age Group (NAG) #1 title in the 41 & Over Expert class in 2010. His skill, drive, and larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable on and o= the track.
Allan is survived by his loving mother, Linda Ontiveros; his brothers, Kevin Porter (wife, Ann) and John Ontiveros (wife, Felicia); his children, Brittani (husband, Jedidiah), Allen (wife, Briana), Frankie (wife, Natalie), Roger, Emma, Daniel, and Gwyneth; his beloved grandchildren, Omisol, Ellianna, Aurora, Kayson, Millianna, and Paltiel; his cherished nephews and nieces, Isaac, Damian, Victoria, Mia, Jayden, and Ava; his aunts and uncles, Stan and Theresa, Ronny, Shirley; and his dear cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Richard Porter, and stepfather, Ramon Ontiveros; his cherished grandparents, Alex Blanca and Gloria Blanca Mason, and step-grandfather, Paul Mason; and his dear uncles, Leland Blanca and Alex Blanca Jr., along with his loving aunt, Kathy Blanca.
